Matt Dillion is shot! Twice!

On a positive note I believe I read on here a while back that Matt had
killed about 300 bad guys during the run of Gunsmoke.

Yes, he gave better than he got.

According to wiki:

"Matt was shot 56 times, 18 in the left arm, 6 in the left shoulder, 4 in the left side, 1 in the left leg, 5 in the right arm, 1 in the in the right shoulder, 6 in the right side, 3 in the right chest, 4 in the right leg, 3 forehead grazes and 5 in the back. He was also knocked unconscious 29 times.

One in the right gun arm almost ended his career as marshal.

One when he was grazed in the head it left him temporarily blind with a lost memory. Also stabbed 3 times and poisoned once."
