What a cast....Matt Dillon, Santa Claus, Davy Crockett, Harry Truman, Mr. Spock, Patty Duke's father, and Mel Cooley were all in the same movie's cast.
What movie ?

What movie is in your memory bank for it's unusual amount of actors having other iconic roles ?

Island's in the Sky had Fess Parker and James Arness but I didn't recognize all the others. Just saw it last week and it was worth the time.

This one's too easy.

It's Them!, the classic 1954 science fiction film about giant mutant man-eating ants.

Probably one of the few films to ever show James Arness wearing a suit and tie.

It's one of several classic sci-films from the fifties that predicted weird after effects from early atomic testing.

Since it hasn't been but a few days Island in the Sky is still in my memory bank so it is my contribution. Alfalfa, Mannix, Jingles and Dobie Gillis's brother were all in this one.

I saw this thread a little late, but I knew the answer. "Them" and "The Thing" (also with James Arness, in the title role), were the best of the 1950s creature features. Of course, you never got a really good look at "The Thing" and wouldn't have recognized James Arness anyway.

Ah yes !!...The Thing (from another world). Overlapping dialogue used by director Howard Hawks made it more "realistic", and Margaret Sheridan was very easy on the eyes !

I haven't seen Terro for a long time. But I guess it is still available. The best ant killer is one you can make yourself. Mix Boric Acid with mint jelly.

IIRC, William Boyett was in Them!, playing a policeman naturally. He made a career of playing a LEO on TV and in movies. Adam 12, Dragnet, Perry Mason, Highway Patrol, ...
