Anybody know any info. about maverick model 88. I picked up one, 12ga. 24in. barrel and 3 choke tubes. $120.00 I don't think I got hurt.

Made by Mossberg. They're cheap , with poor resale value, but they work just fine. Some people spend more than $120 for a meal, and your cheapo shotgun will provide meals for years to come. You done good.

I have two and put hundreds of rounds throuh them without a hitch. Very good value.

Essentially a no frills version of the already none too frilly Mossberg 500 series, though I believe the Mavericks are made at a different factory in Texas.

I like mine a lot. It is some type of "home defense" model. It came with a full and a pistol grip stock. Seems like nice quality. Don't remember the price, but it has provided a lot of enjoyment.
