Yeah, I remember 1960 very well. I married my first wife in Sept. Lasted 27 years.

It was a very embarrassing incident. I remember seeing pictures that the Soviets released showing what they recovered from the U-2, and as I remember there was a .22 pistol and a box of ammunition, don't remember what pistol it was, but I am thinking it was a Hi-Standard.

The pistol was an OSS issued (in WWII), factory silenced High Standard serial number 007. The serial number was used as evidence to prove GP was a spy!
