Was home from work sick the other day and was channel surfing in the morning and stopped when I got to one of the stations that plays old tv shows. The caption (with the glasses) was carrying a 1928 Thompson with the finned barrel, vertical foregrip and the bolt on top. A couple of the sailors were carrying M1 carbines but I was drooling over the Thompson. I wonder where the gun is now and what other great firearms are in the property rooms of the studios.

Good question! I know Stembridge sold off their movie prop firearms around 15 years ago. They had all the Colts used by the Cartrights on Bonanza and I did get to inspect all of them. They were actually in poor operating condition and wouldn't have survived shooting with anything but blanks.
