I admit it! I will be wishing I had one of them the next time I roll up to a pot patch with 28 illegals guarding it!

Hop onto you tube and watch the Future Weapons episode. It's pretty impressive.

What made you choose the .50 Beowolf over the other big bores like the .458 Socom or the .450 Bushmaster?

I'm just curious as I have thought about the .50 or the .458 for a build.

There were several reasons. One, it is cheaper to shoot n reload. Two, I love the fact that it is all interchangeable with the regular AR's. Three, it a half inch wide bullet!!! Four, I liked the performance characteristics of the round. Lastly (most importantly), I got a smokin hot deal on the upper parts and ammo. So, I built the lower and modified the upper to meet my requirements. It kicks about like a 12 gauge with birdshot, not too bad.

I've seen rounds so far anywhere from 190 grain up to 600 grains (referred to as "the beast")!!

I guess tbe .450 uses pistol bullets only so I find that a little limiting. I like the loading charts for the .458 and the amount of bullet selection to include cast is amazing. But the half inch hole is huge... What bullets do you get to load?

I havent bought any to reload yet as I am still assembling the reloading equipment. But I bought some 300 grain Gold Dots, 400 grain Spitzers, and 335 grain Rainier, and a box of 600 grain called "the beast".
