Meet Dan. 686 commemorative. Pics added

Picked up a Dan Combs 686 unfired in the wood box at Tulsa yesterday. Super straight shooter. Yea. Not unfired anymore. It wasn’t a steal but buy a brand new 686. Maybe it was a steal at $1200 bucks. New mountain gun will be that much and more with tax. I love it. Absolutely perfection.

Heck yeah! I’d take that over two new 686’s. Well worth it, in my opinion.

Dan Combs gave an exhibition shooting display at the PPC National Championships in Jackson, MS. way back sometime in the 1970s. He was certainly an excellent shot and entertaining. Congratulations on owning a piece of history.

I really love this one. It’s perfection. I mean just flawless really. It doesn’t have the m stamp but I probably won’t send it back for the recall. So far I only put 12 rounds of 38s through it. Just for the exercise of course. Here it is with the others I picked up yesterday.

Dan Combs was an Oklahoma state trooper and exhibition shooter. His performances were based around traffic safety and trick shooting. I believe he passed away before the L frame came to be. He used primarily model 19s. He also performed with BARs and Tommy guns and various other firearms. Speed shooting and different trick shots. He was a great advocate for 2nd amendment rights. He always ended with saying something along the lines of. We should never ever disarm the American people. Never on gods green earth.

I would've paid more than $1200 for that unfired DC NIB 686 piece of history. I mean, it would cost me $1000-1060 for a new model 686 deluxe online with tax, the ride and transfer fee. You got a great revolver for a great price IMHO. Congrats!
