MIAD on 15-22

has anyone put a miad grip on a 15-22. put one on tonight and the rear takedown pin just falls out now. there is nothing catching the detent spring on the grip, the safety spring is fine. thanks

Prostockfan: I also had same problem on my 15-22. I contacted S&W Technical staff about it and they stated that the MIAD grip does have enough of a shelf for the takedown detent spring to catch. So I tried again and after about 10 tries, did get to fit right. It does work, although it doesn't look like it would. Just keep trying and you'll get it. Good luck.

i found out that the ar10 grip wedge that magpul sells works perfect and it closes the gap between the grip and receiver.
