Picked up a Microtech Combat Troodon today. It is large, lightweight, and sits deep in the pocket. I found the UTX-85 a bit small in hand. The Ultratech (next size up) felt good, but this felt just right. The springs are quite stiff. Need a good thumb workout routine. Also, Microtech is a North Carolina company. Supporting the local economy.

Here it is next to a 442 (no dash) in satin nickel and UTX-85 for scale.

Neat knife! Too bad it's not legal in Michigan or I'd buy one. In our local stupidity when autos were deemed to be no longer dangerous weapons[about 5 years ago] some legal idiots in Lansing decided that OTF with a spear point still constituted as a dangerous weapon! Buy one, yes, just don't get caught carrying one. 🤢🤢

It's a beast of a knife. Sold mine a few years back. I have an Ultratech and an Executive Scarab. Microtechs are pretty much top of the line in OTF's.
Congrats on yours.

Interesting. Microtech offers several different blade shapes. Check it out. One of them might be legal in MI.
