Midland Texas Tragedy

I am quite disturbed over this accident - it should have never happened. Who runs a parade over a Railroad Crossing? My heart goes out to the families of the Servicemen who lost their lives.

I second your concern. This tragedy had to have been completely preventable. I cannot understand either the incautious frame of mind or the lack of preparedness that allowed this to happen.

This situation is just too painful to think about. I am pretty sure I am in a kind of denial about it, because I find myself turning away from news reports or redirecting my thoughts if awareness of it pops into my mind.

My understanding is that they were on their way to the parade to participate.

Rule#1 with level crossings is that no matter what happens or who thinks they are right, the train always wins. Sad to do.
