Hey guys, i know there is a thread right below me about something similar..im just trying to make sure im doing this right.

I had bought a magpul moe rifle stock not realizing it was for a2 style buffer tubes. Anyway i could return it or swap the buffer tube.

From my understand i need some sort of spacer to make the spring work with an a2 tube. So is this what i need?

AR-15/M16 BUFFER SPACER | Brownells

Whats a cheaper a2 buffer tube? Im guessing RIFLE BUFFER TUBE | Brownells wont work

My Brownells came with a spacer to make the A1 length tube into A2 length.

I don't know if the spring is different for the different tubes. In either configuration, the spring length is the same on mine, and the external length is different with the spacer.

You would need to use a rifle length tube, the spacer from S&W is reported to be 1.95 inches long as I recall. and re use the stock carbine buffer and spring. I do not see the length on that spikes spacer and it may be too long.

The stock M&P 10 tube is like 3/4 in longer than an AR carbine length tube, so you arr not converting carbine to rifle, you are converting mp10 to rifle.
