milt sparks pmk vs kramer belt scabbard

hello, im looking for comments from anybody who has carried a j frame in a milt sparks pmk and a Kramer belt scabbard.
im wanting to order one and want to know which one conceals better.

I little bit of an apples to oranges comparison there. The Sparks PMK is similar in design to the Kramer Vertical belt scabbard. Both are of an "avenger" type design with a belt tunnel on the back of the holster body and will conceal about the same. The Kramer belt scabbard is more of a pancake design and will conceal better than both of them. I have a belt scabbard in horsehide for a J as well as other models. It is the best execution of a pancake holster that I've ever owned. For best results, get a Kramer belt as well.

No matter which you order insist the manufacturer BLOCK to belt loop on the rear of the holster!! I have one of each and it is still extremely difficult to drag the belt through the rear of the holster(s)...........

The buyer should NOT have to block the rear of the holster..

That is not an issue with either of these makers of professional grade gear.

I nearly bought a used Kramer belt rig for an LCR once, knowing I would get that gun...eventually. HOlster is that good! Horside that was so hard, it feld like kydex

Did you not read my post carefully?

I said I have a Kramer and a Milt Sparks and it takes candle wax and a pair of pliers to get a 1 1/2 inch belt through the loop on the holsters!! Phone calls resulted in "put a piece of plastic around the belt and leave it for a while".....YEAH RIGHT....NOT my job to block the holster - it is the manufactures.

The holsters are fantastic - they both hold the handgun perfectly. Just saying - the loops suck.

I have used Kramers and Sparks leather for concealed carry for 30+ years, carrying everything from J frame Smiths to N frames, as well as various models of the 1911, and the "plastic" autos.

Hands down the Kramer belt scabbard (pancake) in horsehide, IMO is the finest outside belt carry today. I carry using a Sparks 1 1/2" belt. The holster is thin, because of horsehide, snuggly and perfectly fitted to the handgun and with minimal care still looks nearly new after many years of daily wear. I currently have nine of these, and buy one for any newly acquired handgun I may carry.

For IWB carry, I prefer the Sparks Heritage or Summer Special. You will receive top quality with either brand. Finally, no disrespect to other posters but I personally have not had a problem with sliding the Kramer scabbard onto my belt. Good luck!

My apologies for missing that. At 0441, my caffeine level may have been sub therapeutic. My holsters from both of those makers have not had that issue. I use both with a Kramer double thick horsehide belt. When the holsters were new they were stiff but I did not have to fight to thread the belt. These were purchased a very long time ago. Could they have changed their crafting process?

thank you, I have 2 vm2's. one for j frame and one for 1911 and I have msp paddle from Kramer. your right, they make great holsters. im really wanting Kramer horsehide belt scabbard for my j frame. might have to call them up Monday.

I've got 2 Milt's but have not used them since I bought my Kramer Horsehide Belt Scabbard about 10 or 11 years ago. I also have the Horsehide 1 1/4" belt and ammo dump pouch. IMHO this is the best holster and rig combo I have ever owned for my 2" M60-7 ( and I DO have a closet full of holsters for this model in all name brands and styles). Any gun that I would ever carry would be in a Kramer Horsehide - - - - and no I have nothing at all to do with this Company nor do I even know the man.
