Minimalist S&W owner joins

Pioneer of Alaska Reprobate who has discovered South Texas makes more sense joins up. I have (over 40 years of ownership and 50 of shooting) owned most S&W models and calibers extant, stated "hold my beer and watch this" just enough to be embarrassed and due to a few rare instances of good sense, just enough to keep the civil liberty of a CCW for the majority of my Majority. Now, in my dotage I recently decided to sell a bunch of good handguns and procure a MP340 based off the concept of "Beware a man who only has one gun (I don't but it sounds good) he may know how to use it". I sold off my concealable and field pistols and revolvers. I don't run with bears anymore and only have one hand that works properly anyway. Who needs the logistic nightmare of calibers and equipment when most natural and unnatural foes in the brush country can be felled with a .357 between wind and water? I digress. Any experience based advice regarding the use and misuse of the MP340 will be appreciated.

There isn't much in coastal Carolina that can't be taken care of with a .357. We have had a few black bears show up here. Hogs susceptible to .357 if they are not huge. Bobcats are feisty, but again, not too big for a .357.

You know, I just looked up the larger animals to see if there was anything else big and dangerous here, and I found out that BEAVERS live here. I've never heard of such in 62 years.
