I am looking at a Smith & Wesson Model 34-1 J frame, square butt, .22LR revolver w/adjustable sights. Conditions stated to be 99% and the price is $400. I have been hunting an older S&W .22 and this one looks sweet. I think the price is fine, but I just wanted to check.

I just paid $450 for a snubbie that is P&R and 98%+ with no box. On Gunbroker (for model 34 snubbies) I've seen prices all over the board. From the most ridiculous, $795 with box (unfired har har), to $300 for a high miler and no box. Sounds like the one you're looking at (2 or 4" bbl) is a good deal.

OK, just picked her up. It is a 2"(?) snubbie. 1969 w/out the box or papers. Got it for $400 with a really nice Pelican case and a brick of 500 CCI Standard Velocity.

Pics to follow....

Good deal and a cutie.I have the same gun, later version, with a round butt.

I'm not a big J-frame fan, but the 34's are nice little pieces.

Maybe I should go back.[/]
ServiceGun,
You should definitely go back and buy it. You will be glad you did. Price is a good one.

400 is a great price. Aroud my neck of the woods I doubt you could get one that cheap. You don't want to know what I paid for a 34-2 4" in good shape. Have fun shooting!

Well I wanted a 17 but they have been hard to find and the ones I have seen online have been pricey. I jumped on this one I saw it.

That's a great little gun a a good price.

I've put more than 4000 rounds through my 2" 34 in the past couple months.

I am looking for another.
