I just recently bought a Smith and Wesson mp 15-22. Due to the delay with the saftey recall the first time that I used it was today. I noticed that it had about a 2' group at approximately 10 yards. I could not get the rifle sighted in after about 100 rounds. I took the rifle home to clean it and I noticed that my bore snake would not pass through the barrel. I attempted to use a cleaning rod and it too would not pass into the barrel. Upon removal of the barrel from the upper reciever I noticed that the trunion on the end of the barrel was not aligned to the barrel. Pictures are attached two from the muzzle end of the barrel, two from the trunion end, the barrel with a section of cleaning rod in it and then the barrel with a white cloth in the barrel to the point of misalignment. You'll also notice on the trunion side of the pictures a shiny section in the barrel... This was present before I took the picture with the rod in the barrel. I believe this was where the bullets were hitting the misaligned part of the barrel.
