I recently found some cci blazer ammo for my j-frame 38. The price was to good to pass up. I went to the range and out of 50 rounds I had 4 rounds that did not fire. The primer was dented but no cigars. I have heard that cci primers are harder than Winchester for example. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

Yes, they are harder, but a J Frame with a factory strength coil mainspring should still fire them. Let me guess... you have a newer model with a frame mounted firing pin?

I don't shoot much factory loaded ammo, but I'll shoot whatever Blazer is "donated" to me. The only problem I ever had with it is in my .25 ACP Beretta 950BS, which needs the occasional second hit. It behaves this way with some of the European ammo but nothing else that's commercially U.S. loaded.
