Very busy show Saturday morning. Lots of trucks in the parking lot and camo in the aisles. Only about a half dozen vacant tables in an arena that seats more than 7, 000 for events, so this semiannual show has picked up over the last year or so. AR's in good supply and at reasonable prices, considering it was a gun show. Saw several vintage Colt AR's priced at low four figures, but that's about what they're worth. Again, nothing too unreasonable. Lots of Marlin lever actions, Remington single shot .22's, camo shotguns, and Taurus handguns, as usual, as well as a couple tables of beef jerky and pork rinds. .22 LR ammo was plentiful and going for from 8 to 13 cents a round. Old S&W revolvers and 3rd Gen Semi's were not plentiful. Saw maybe three 3rd Gens in the whole show. Looked twice at a U.S. Property Victory in .38 S&W with $325 on the tag, and certainly could have talked it lower because the seller took it in trade and didn't know anything about it, including whether or not it had been bored out. It did not appear to have been, but didn't have a round I wanted to get out to plunk test it.
Saw several 4473's being filled out, so things were selling. Was looking for a set of postwar N frame diamond magnas for my Heavy Duty, but no luck. Bought a tactical pen and a single point sling attachment for one of my AR's. Saw lots of friends and had some great conversations. Typical local gun show . . .
