Hi guys.

I recently joined here hoping to get some insight on this firearm.

From what I've read its an MK Arms Model mk760. Apparently MK Arms licensed the rights to produce this firearm from Smith and Wesson after they dropped the 76 and while the US Special Forces still were seeking repair and replacement of their current aging mdl 76s.

These were mainly in the full auto subgun configuration. With legislation on the way via the FOPA, Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986, very few of these (less than 750 total pistol and carbine variants) were able to be modified and sold as semi-auto only variants before MK Arms was forced to close; shuttering their doors and selling most of their left over inventory to Special Weapons who then butchered these entirely.

This one appears to be mostly SW parts and in all seriousness after having shot it two sessions now without hiccup I can say it (so far) runs like a top.

I got it with an 8 inch plugged display barrel, as well as the 16 inch carbine barrel which has a spotless bore.

It has 2 original 36rd mags, which seems odd that they have that round count, and I believe these can use modified suomi mags?

Does anyone else know anything about these or have one? Ive never seen another besides in pictures.

Thanks all for the info!

Welcome to the Forum.

The knowledge base on the MK Model 76 knock-offs is fairly limited. It has been my experience that some of the most knowledgeable collectors and shooters of the MK guns can be found over at Uzitalk:

I'm sure that the guys over there can help with your questions. Good luck.
