It's 1:30 AM Sunday morning.
I awake to knocking at the door followed by flash lights through the windows.
It's the local PD with an "I regret to inform you"...

Time of my mothers passing was 12:45. Figure the constabulary typically has a 20 min response time, taking the clock to 1:05.
some time to assess the situation and radio back ... likely another 10.... this leaves about 10 to 15 for their dispatch to relay to my local PD, dot the i's, cross the t's and get a pair of officers on my porch.
USPS cannot possibly compete with law enforcement's ability to crush your mellow anywhere in the continental United States in 15 minutes or less.
I'm nearly as stunned by the turn around time as I was the message. Applied to a warrant, it's good incentive to live rightly.
As unsavory as it may be, I appreciate those that perform this service
