I spotted this gun at a local gun shop, looks to be in good shape except it's way dirtier than I'd ever put a gun away. Serial# M209516. Can I get a date please? Price is $599. As far as I can tell that's fair. Opinions are welcome. I took a couple of pictures... Thanks, stay safe, John

It would of shipped in the early '80's.... 1981 to 1984. Those "M" serial numbers were not issued in anything close to normal order. They were all over the place.

A fair deal.Doubtful that anyone here would sell a comp for less.
I think that was about the number that I sold my 63 no dash for, five years ago, though mine was a pinned version..

Fair price. Good shape. Fun gun. Then there is the thing about not seeing these in a local gun shop more than twice in a coons age....

Sounds fair. Paid $675 for mine several years ago. Pinned barrel model. Don't see them in stores very often. Seen then for up to $900 at gun shows.

I would buy it if you are looking for a great frame J frame .22.

$599 for a Model 63 is a good price these days. Even if it's had a couple thousand rounds through it you can't hardly wear one of those out. As much as I like blued guns, if someone is going to use a Kit Gun for its intended purpose, you can't beat a stainless Model 63.

I watched one sell at an estate auction last week. $675
