Hey, quick question. I haven't really been able to find a lot of info on this pistol on the internet, so I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.? I recently acquired part of my grandpa's collection and this was in it. Any info on reliability, years of production or anything would be appreciated. Also in the serial number it has rsr in it. Could this be a coincidence or would this be where he bought it?

Gun was built in 1991 for RSR, a major distributor for S&W. It is classed with a group of guns referred to in SCSW as "RSR Transitionals". All of the RSR transitionals were in small production lots ranging from fewer than 900 to fewer than 200 per lot. The indication is this model would be classified as "Rare", with between 200 and 400 units produced.
