Mod Bug Already Bit Me

My M&P 10 is already putting a nice hole in my pocket and I don't even have it yet!

Thanks to the ridiculous 21 day NJ waiting period...10 more days to go...

Anyway I just ordered some nice stuff for it, ill add pictures as soon as it all arrives.

-Troy 13.8" MRF 308 Extreme DPMS LP Battle Rail
-Troy .750 Low-Profile Gas Block
-Millett 4-16x50 TRS-1 Tactical 30mm Riflescope
-Millett 1" to 30mm One Piece Scope Mount

and I just order a nice little Burris FastFire III Reflex Red Dot Sight for my M&P 15-22

Not yet! The stock is annoying in NJ. I haven't figured out what I'm going to go with yet. Ill probably wait till I shoot it first to see how it feels anyway.

Well i ran into a pretty annoying problem. The site I ordered from didn't have they're stock up to date and almost all my items were on back order..

They let me cancel the order though, I'll have to find other sites to order from now

Why not shoot the snot out of it first to see what you really like and what you don't. Or a few K rounds to ensure proper function before spending money on .......stuff

Well Imo everything I planned on buying was necessary. Scope, BUIS, handgaurd, gas block, and a bipod. Stock and internals won't replace till I do shoot the snot out of it. As for testing it to see if it works, I would either get it fixed or a new one if it didn't work.

wish i didnt spend all my money on partying .. maybe ill be able to shoot more and by my red dot

Yeah I actually have the red dot going on my M&P 15-22 I didn't realize it was that tiny lol im defintley going to need a riser

search amazon for a 3/4" picatinny riser. I think that will find it.
Otherwise you will pay WAY too much to a specific gun store. on Amazon I think I paid like no more than $20, rather than close to $90 at my local LGS.

It would seem that somehow you have the heavy barrel from the camo model instead of the pencil barrel with the flash suppressor on the end. I've never seen that before. In fact, the other thread on here specifically asks if we can order them separately. Whatever happened, you either got lucky, or ripped off when someone at the store pulled off your nice S&W 5R rifled barrel and put this on before they sold it to you.

I live in nj so I have the nj compliant version. To me it looks like the same barrel that's on the website.

No problem. I like the heavy barrel anyway. Better for long range/accuracy

Why would you put on iron sights under a scope when you can't flip the rear one up to use them?

From what I've read and what S&W Support stated, it's really just a "normal" profile barrel vs a true "heavy" barrel but I digress...

Haven't shot mine yet.

Ksgries, Take a look at the Magpul FCS (fixed carbine stock) and the.070 butt pad as a replacement....assuming your stock is pinned. I have a couple of my AR's fitted with this stock, love them and there is the COOL factor to consider. I actually like it better than my CTR's.
