Saw a nice model 10 No Dash at a local pawn shop today. The finish looked real good until I noticed the hammer and trigger were blued. I tend to assume that means a non-S&W refinish was done at some point. Hopes were a bit dashed. Price was over $500.

(Was pawing through their holster pile for a decent N frame holster to “make do” with, no luck there either. Bummer. Still, I got to look over some firearms and smell some gun oil. Not a complete waste of time.)

You are correct in your assumption. Blued hammer and trigger is a dead giveaway of a non-factory refinish.
