Model 1000 3 inch mag, will 2 3/4 cycle?

Hi! Do you owners of Model 1000's, chambered for 3 inch; know if 2 3/4, will work.? Will they feed, eject and cycle? If not, I guess a barrel made for 2 3/4 will have to be the way to go. The 3 inch is marked on the barrel, with no mention of 2 3/4. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Again!! Mikey

Sometimes........kind of 50/50
The 3" chambered barrel has one gas port and the 2 3/4" has two ports.

Doesn't hurt to try yours with 2 3/4" it may cycle reliably.

Thanks for the heads up on the 50/50 chances of 2 3/4 cycling, in a 3 inch chambered gun. I'll wait and get a bbl, made for the 2 3/4. I bought a model 1000 back in about 82-83, loved the gun. I sold it when I needed the money, pretty bad. Life has changed a lot in 30 years, I think I'll buy another one. They were very good guns, and I know the gas o-ring needs to be changed sometimes, but overall; a pretty good gun. Thanks Again! Mikey
