I found a new in box 13-1 today and was surprised to see the target hammer and target trigger. Wasn't sure if S&W ever shipped any special orders of that configuration or not. The box has a bright easy to read label on it and of course the idiot at the gun shop put a very sticky and not removable sticker right over the top of the label that has the special features listed. All I can make out after the special features is the letter G and under a bright light reading through the label I believe it says 002. Any idea what that would mean? Probably paid to much but a LNIB 13-1 doesn't come along everyday. There were 2 identical 13-1s there I got one. It is at the Scheels in Tulsa if anyone is interested in the other.

Great find, i have two 3in 13's. If you want to try, take some
WD40 and rub it on the sticker. Take hair dryer and heat sticker, with a dull edge see if a corner comes up, keep heating and peal slowly. I have had good luck removing tape and stickers this way. Good luck Bill

I scored a as new out of box 13-1 some years ago for the price of a non working small Johnson out board. I will not fire it. It is a great storehouse of value for the coming times. I can and do shoot other revolvers.

I have also had luck doing the hair dryer trick - just take it slow. If this is the old style label, in the TH and TT boxes you will either find them blank, a check mark or TH and TT written in the boxes - in my experience. Doubtful the factory installed these options on a fixed sight gun.
