Model 13-3 questions...

Hi everyone, first time for a ?, been lurking for a bit. I am/was looking for a Model 19, 581, or 586. A friend had the 13, but I don't care for the barrel look on this gun, but it has a really good lockup. Finish is about 70%. So my question is can I rebarrel this 13 with a 19, or 58X series barrel? Is this gun worth anything that I would be messing up by changing it out? Collector value? Thanks...

An M19 barrel will not fit properly. The barrel rib will not match up with the frame and the front sight is too high.

An M58X barrel is for the L frame and will not fit the K frame M13 at all.

Thanks John. After thinking about it, it makes sense. Is there any collector value on this gun? I know what I am asking here (for a bunch of opinions), but are these as good of shooters as a 586/686/581/681/66? Would there be any benefit to owning this gun over the above listed guns?
