Model 15 2"....checking on price and box 'type'

i did my search and found this...

because I found one in DFW, with the box (I think, there is a blank S&W label over the original label on the box, and afraid to tug the blank off to see if it's the actual box. Very good shape, a 8K8xxxx so 1974ish...

but it's got a 'fold over' blue box like my late 80s 5906. shouldn't the factory box have the lift over cover type box for a mid 70s?

they want $429 + tax...so the price is kinda on, yes?

A mid-1970's blued S&W came in a blue two piece Bangor Punta box with metal corners.

wrong box then...should offer less,

mid 70s Model 15 2" in really nice shape 95% or better, with wrong box lol...

they have a CDC marked Model 64 2" as well for almost $400 and i thought that was a bit too high...
