Can anyone give me an approximate manufacture date?

According to my database, your gun most likely shipped around June - Aug time frame 1976. This would be an approximate ship date, not a manufacture date.

I am guessing Mar or Apr 1976 but that 2" barrel is all over the place in shipping.
