What is the collective experience of the members regarding recent prices of model 18 revos? I almost bid on a very good example on Gunbroker yesterday, but it was without a box and still went for mid-$600's. I have a local pawn shop dealer who wants $495 for a well used example, also without box, wrong stocks, etc. It is probably about a 70-75% finish-wise. He will not budge with offers of 400 (and even a test-the-waters $450) cash.

Is this now the norm? It would appear that everyone looks at the top number from Supica or GBB and adds $100-$200, regardless of condition.

He's on the very high end of the price list for one in that condition, but not out of line. He will probably hold at that price and may get it.:(

yes, these #'s are the norm it seems now.. I saw one at a show last summer for $569 and know I wish I had bought it.. Although I watched in pain as a excel. 18-3 sold on GB for $469 the day after Christmas, (guns were going cheap that day) but the day before christmas I bought a 29-2 and was pretty broke

I actually purchased that Model 18 on GB the day after Christmas. It was a sleeper as far as the auction goes at $469. I would have paid more as I had been looking for a nice M18. The prices I was looking at were significantly higher for lesser condition guns. Good luck on your quest as they are out there.

There were three very nice 18s at the local gun show here in western Oregon last weekend. All were $695. I didn't try to dicker or inquire too close as I had just bought one off GB for slightly less, but slightly more with shipping.

I was shooting it today. We were busting clay birds on the bank at 38+ yards. Not every shot, but my buddy and I were having a little competition trying to break each bird before the other guy. He was shooting light .44 mags.

While he was reloading he noticed I was shooting the larger pieces of the birds to "clean up". I ran about 300 through it today. No regrets on the purchase price here.

I bought a 98% plus 4" model 48-4 on GB a month ago for $425, a very good deal. I have been looking for an 8 3/8" to go with that one and my 6" 48-4. They are bringing $$$$. Just gotta keep you eye out. Seem to be better deals had from local want ads.
