Model 19-4

A friend recently acquired a Nickel (?) model 19-4 with a 4 inch barrel. SN 51K0335. She was told it was an old gun but I don't think that old. Can someone help with approximate date of birth.
The hammer and trigger appear to be case hardened.

In the 1978-79 time frame. The experts will be able to get closer, but that's ballpark. Old can be subjective. Old compared to what.
