I have a model 19-6 2.5 inch barrel revolver that I purchased used at a gun show. The serial number on the butt and the frame are the same and I guess I was expecting that same number on the yoke but it is a 3 digit number that has no relation to the serial number.

Is this normal or has the yoke been replaced at some point?

Thank you for any information.

Use the serial number of the butt of your revolver.....

Thank you gentlemen. I was hoping that this model 19 was original. The only thing that I was concerned with was that 3 digit number on the yoke. Now I know it is an assembly number.

I am documenting all the details of the firearms I own so that later my children will know what I have in case they decide to sell.
