I recently bought a model 19 from a local. It is a 4 screw, 4" barrel, 3 t's. Serial K422940. The diamond grips are in great shape. There is a small drag line on the cylinder but other than that the finish is very nice. Any ideas on a date. I put it in this thread because it's a 4 screw. I sure appreciate any help!

They did not ship in seral number order, but for reference: K412171 is a blued 4" Model 19 that shipped in February 1961, K422470 is a nickel 4" Model 19 that shipped in November 1962, K466126 is a blued 4" Model 19-1 that shipped in September 1962, and K391061 is a blued 4" Model 19 shipped in August 1960.

... so... probably somewhere between 1960 and 1962. :):D

We would love to see a few photos.

Richard is correct; 1961-62 would be a good guess for a ship date.

As for this:
It is a 4 screw

I put it in this thread because it's a 4 screw.
Keep in mind there were never any 5 screw Combat Magnums. The first examples were assembled in December, 1955, and had four screws. The three screw guns started with the Model 19-2.

A couple pics of model 19.

Thanks for sharing the photos (I hope that you don't mind that I cropped and rotated them a bit - OCD getting the best of me:rolleyes:)!
