For those of you that take your Model 1917 Army revolvers to the range, do you modify the grip configuration in any manner for shooting? I have not taken mine to the range yet, but I have mounted a Wesson Grip Adapter on the gun (pictured below) in anticipation of getting to the range fairly soon. Although the Wesson Adapter is a later vintage than the M1917, it looks pretty good and definitely feels better than just the original and fairly thin service grip. In fact, I’m thinking that it’s too bad that the Wesson Adapter wasn’t invented in time for WW1.
