Model 25-7 .45 Colt: Can it be converted to .45 acp?

l shoot 45 Schofield in my 625 Mtn Gun. Accuracy improvement is simply

amazing over the same load in a 45 Long Colt case. There's an even shorter

case available to load... lts called a 45CAS... Same dimensions as a 45ACP

and 45AR.. Case rim is thinner like 45 Long Colt... Cowboy Action Shooters

invented the 45CAS case.. You can buy lotsa brass/boolits for the $300

cyl conversion bill... All without ruining a fine gun

It has already been established that the amount quoted in Post #5 was an error and it is about half that amount.

Secondly, I fail to see how this "ruins" a fine gun. It is still fully functional as manufactured, but now enhanced by being able to shoot another caliber. If the gun is a shooter, you have already had an impact on value to a collector, the conversion of the cylinder may actually enhance value, to all but collectors, not degrade it.
