Local dealer has very nice 27-2 with 4 inch barrel and nickel plating. Has 3-T’s and correct markings for nickel. The pistol has been used lightly. He’s looking for $1,500.00. Is this a reasonable price? Opinions please…..and thank you. Tom

What comes with it? Box, accessories and original paperwork adds value, nickel plating adds value. 4" barrel is a late addition, so it is probably a late 1970's manufacture. What is the SN, (letter and partial number will do) and it can be dated within a year or so. Pictures would be nice.

Sounds like a nice find. I’d love to see pictures. A blue one just sold on this Forum for around $1600. I paid a little more a couple of days ago for a very nice one. Gun only.

Four inch 27-2s don't show up very often; there are, if I remember correctly, more nickel ones than blue. Even in this era of rising prices I would think $1500 was too high for one showing use and without box/papers. But maybe not all that much too high. Pictures would be helpful. Good luck.

Year or so ago, I paid $1000 for a 4” blue 27-2. No box or docs. Don’t know if it had been fired. Appears to be mint condition.

I paid about $1400 a complete package nickel one at Tulsa, pre covid. I later saw the same gun, except with a red ramp front sight at the same show priced at $2100 in the box.

Fifteen may be on the outer edge, but not by much. If I wanted one, I would buy it, even if a hundred or more high. You can spend way more than that looking for a cheaper one, only to find it is not cheaper!!

Old engineer-You can always make a respectful offer. Worst they can do is say no. Usually there is some margin built into nice old gun pricing.

Don't think, do it! Or tell me where I can get it.
