After many years searching I have finally found me a model 27-2
Serial number is N610718

Can any of you help me with when the gun was made

Probably 1979/80 although you'll need a letter to know to whom it shipped and exactly when. Appears to be in excellent condition. I can't tell for sure from the picture, 5 inch or 6? Welcome to the Forum, hope we see, and hear from you often.

Assuming the presentation case is original to the 27-2, I would estimate the revolver shipped in late 1978.

Welcome to the Forum! You made a nice entry with that beautiful Model 27-2. Lots of .357 Magnum and Model 27 fans here on the Forum so you're in good company. Here's my 6" Model 27-2 from the same era (1977-78), s/n N479553. I picked up this one from the original owner who's wife bought it for him brand spankin' new for his birthday in 1978. Enjoy!
