Picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Shoots like a dream. One ragged hole at 25 feet off hand. A 4-screw with serial number S2101xx. Got the box to go with it.

Extremely nice! A 27 no dash is on my short list...

Curtis, it looks like a 5" to me.

Yes, a 5". It has a Red Ramp front sight, but a standard rear. I have only seen RR's in the past mated with White Outline rear sights.

The load is a .38 wadcutter over 3.4g of Bullseye. (I think, Smith357 makes the loads for me)

Great gun! I have my sights set on one with a 3 1/2 inch barrel that hopefully will be added to my safe sometime soon, just have to pry it out of my buddies hands:~)

45wheelgun...Very nice 27. It was common to have a red ramp front sight with a plain rear on the 27 and on the 1950 Target 44 with a 4-inch barrel (many have a red ramp front sight and plain rear sight).

Few things in life bring such pleasure as vintage model 27,
diamond grips and original box.
If you take a quick look inside the right grip panel,
I bet you see a matching Serial number.
Congrats!

Just joined this forum yesterday and I can already see a problem. I'm going to see pictures of guns/models I used to own and foolishly sold or traded. I'm gonna feel just awful here! (LOL)

Beautiful 5" M-27!!

Dave
