We really like pictures here, especially when asked to value a gun. A serial number would help, barrel length, as well as knowing how much it has been fired and the finish condition. That said, early ones came with the blue/black case rather than the wooden presentation case. Don't see them for sale too often. I bought a 6.5 inch in perhaps 98% condition not too long ago here on the Forum classified section (with the blue/black case and tools) for about $2700. So probably somewhere in that range, post pictures and folks here can offer better information. Perhaps one of the moderators will move your post to the 1896-1961 section.
