Weird that they didn't make it so it doesn't fall out when the grips are removed.
I bought mine with the box and docs but no lanyard loop.
Did they originally come with one?

Yes the guns were shipped with a lanyard pin. If your pin is gone pull your stocks and cylinder off and carry the gun to a hardware store and find a pin that works.

Yes, they do and yes they are very easy to lose if you're not paying attention. In fact, my wife found my lanyard loop pin for my 317-3 on the garage floor and I didn't realize it fallen out.

Lucky starting your Corvette didn't blow it under the boxes of Top Secret Classified papers in the corner. You would never have found it! :D

My pin is intact, my question was if the lanyard loop itself was included with the gun from the factory.

The lanyard on my revolver is for a cell phone, which were once quite popular. I have a spare or three if you want one.

Contrary to what others have said the gun did not have a lanyard loop, ever! The lanyard is simply retained by the pin which properly is called the lanyard pin, no loop to it.

The pin was made deliberately to be loose so the lanyard could be installed or un-installed simply without needing to use a punch and hammer!
