model 36 no dash 3" nickel

Hi, I bought this years ago. Its a model 36 no dash nickel, 3" barrel, Diamond grips, Flat latch. I called S&W a few years ago to buy a small part. The young man said parts are no longer in stock. He said as close as he could tell from the serial it was made in the 1950's. The serial is 187839. Any idea when this gun was made?

From my database indications are that it shipped 1958-59.
