Model 41

I know I can get the date of manufacture by $100.00 with a letter requesting background data on my S&W but will try here 1st to see if anyone has the information they would like to share for just a thank you.

It's a model 41, blue, 7.5" barrel, serial number 1106XX - just 6 digits for the serial number. I probably purchased this pistol in either late 1968 or sometime in 1969.

What would be the value (great condition w/original box in fair condition) to an interested buyer?

According to the SCSW serial 115000 was the last of the non A-prefix guns in 1970. No year ranges were give for these pre-A guns but yours was probably produced around the time you bought it. Completed auctions seem to price the guns in about the $900-1100 range.

Thanks Jim, S&W rep couldn't give me a date but guessed the date would be around 1966/1968 after asking around. I'm good with your data and his, thanks again.
