Model 49

Found this for sale online and grabbed it. The serial number dates it to 1979-80. It is in very nice condition and looks like it was barely ever shot.

The gun came with a Bianchi IWB holster and some decent aftermarket stocks. Not sure who made the stocks, and there aren't any markings on them anywhere. I had a set of Magnas and a Tyler T in my box-o-grips, so I installed them. The aftermarket grips would have made it harder to pocket carry, and that is how I intend to carry it.

I've been wanting a decent Model 49 for quite a while. My old gunsmith always wore one in a Bianchi Cyclone OWB holster, and I thought it was a nice, old-school carry piece.

Carried one happily as a backup for a couple decades. Still have it.

I thought they were sort of ugly for years. I picked up a 649ND a couple of years ago and really like it.
