I have a S&W Model 57-5 mountain gun that my dad had for some reason taken apart and put in a bag. He passed away and now I'm putting this pistol back together. I'm used to working with Smith revolvers, but what is throwing me off is the trigger, cylinder paw, and spring. On all my other Smith's, the trigger has small pins in the trigger that hold the spring and puts the necessary tension on the cylinder paw. This trigger does not and I'm not sure I even have all the parts. I cannot find a 57-5 schematic that shows this new remodeled trigger. Anyone have any suggestions?
