Just had the winning bid on this 57.
I’d been watching it for a month or two? Maybe longer.
I figured a short layaway would make it relatively painless, And although a layaway was not offered to start with, he accepted.
41 mag is hard to find and expensive, So although I don’t expect to be shooting it much, I figure reloads will be the way to go.
95-96%.
$1157 with TF&S
6” blue down… do I need the 8 and 4” blue and three more in nickel?
Where is this going?

How many of you are there have all the models in all the barrel lengths in all the finishes?

Why are my parameters expanding?

"How many of you are there have all the models in all the barrel lengths in all the finishes? "....I'm close.

Have had all the 57s from 4-8 3/8" and most of the 657s. Only few that are missing are the 7.5" Classic Hunter and PC Hunters... And the 3" Lew Horton of which there are only 150...

Plus have had Class A Engraved 4" guns in blue and nickel...

If you are new to .41....

1964-2014...The .41 Magnum

.41 Magnum / 41 Special Load Data Center

If you are looking for .41 ammo that is target velocity grade, Lost River Ammo just came out with a 215/900 fps load and also has a 215/1200 for general work...

.45 ACP +P 250 Grn Hard Cast Flat Point (50 RND)

Because "all" is far superior to "less than all"......Ben

This is really all I needed to read.
I guess it becomes a quest and a challenge of sorts.
Getting a deal feels like a win, paying a little too much is not a big deal.. getting one you don’t have… a great feeling.
Getting another exactly the same as you do have?
If it’s not as nice.. it’s the shooter… if it’s nicer, it’s in the safe.
A win win.

A couple hints if you plan to reload for your .41 Mag. Get Starline brass. Price several different places; you may get down to less than 30 cents. For a 215 gr Missouri Bullet 215 Hi-Tek coated over 6.0 HP38 expect 844 fps and excellent accuracy. For a bigger boom, 210 gr Hornady STP HP over a max charge of Win296 expect good accuracy. A robust roll crimp desired for both the above.

...

For this 41, not so much -

You can never have too many 41s.

They tell me reloading rimfire cartridges is possible, but that's well beyond my skill level. The .41 Colt can be frustrating to reload for as well. As for my other .41 revolver, it is uglier than a mud fence, but bore and chambers are great and it shoots fine.

Welcome to the club. The .41 Mag is amazing and you’re going to love it. It’s what pushed me more into reloading, as at that point I had only dabbled a little with .38/357 and 10mm. I ditched the Lee turret and got a Dillon 550 and jumped into reloading .41 Mag with both feet(as well as a few others).

Finding (reasonably priced) Cokes is a bit of an Easter egg hunt. Mine came from an early S-prefix Model 28-2 that I found on Florida Gun Trader for $750. Everybody told me I bought some $500 Cokes and got the extremely nice 28-2 for $250:D

Here’s my brace of .41 Magnums:

Everglades Ammo sells Starline .41M brass for $.29/case when it is in stock if you buy in lots of 500. It's where I get my brass for most of what I reload for, including .41M.
