I wish they would take their standard 3" Model 60 and add a semi target trigger, semi target hammer and tune the action like they do on the Gunsmoke version of the 637. Keep the adjustable sights the way they are.

The Pro Series 3" 60 has some nice features, but it's not comfortable for me to target shoot.

Since they'll never bring back the 3" 66, then all they'd have to do is 'fix' the 3" 60 they already make.

Good idea.
I have a 2" Model 637. Quite a handful with +P loads, and still not easily controlled with standard loads. The Uncle Mike's Boot grips make it easy to carry, but I pay with increased perceived recoil.
Much rather have a 3" barrel with adjustable sights in J-frame. Make it entirely of stainless steel. Offer it in .38 Special and 9mm Luger.
The 9mm revolver would be a good hideout gun for military personnel or cops whose department issues the 9mm.
Some may prefer the .327 Magnum, which is a good round but hasn't caught on much. From the two people I've talked with who have it, it's an earsplitter-loudenboomer. Has a particularly vicious crack that can actually cause pain in the ears.
I dunno. Never fired one. And I don't fire any firearm without hearing protection (except for hunting or when carrying for defense).
But yeah, I'd vote for a J-frame, all-stainless, 5-shot, 3" barrel, adjustable sighted pocket pistol in .38 Special or 9mm Luger.
The 9mm could be used with full moon clips, eliminating the need for much-bulker speedloaders.
You listening, Smith & Wesson?
