Here are a couple of photos of my 60-9 J-frame. Made in 10/97 and purchased in 1998. I recently polished her up using Mothers Mag polish and Semichrome polish from recommendations of forum members. Just hand polished, nothing high speed. She looks really nice, but I think I will plan another "polishing day" in the near future on a rainy day. My photography skills are limited, plus I did this in a hurry. I may try to get some better pics to post later. Here we go.......

Oh, by the way, what type of grips would you suggest that I look into as replacements for the Uncle Mike's shown? That is in case I get a wild hair...

I like the Uncle Mikes on my 649, but it still stings with the magnum loads. +P or .38 SP loads are way more fun to shoot.

My Model 60-4 came with those same grips, and to me a set of wood stocks were needed to make the gun "right." I got a set of ebonies from one of the Thai dealers on flea-bay at a very reasonable price. They need a very tiny bit of fitting to eliminate a paper thin gap at the lower front, and the external finish was a little less, well... "finished" than I would have liked, but the price was quite good, so I feel like I can do a little work myself to make them like I want. I liked them well enough that I ordered another set to put on Project 616, and will probably order another set for my Model 686. I guess that's the best recommendation I can give!

Here is mine. I purchased it a few years ago. A guy and his wife at my gun club sold it to me after she discovered that she didn't like shooting it in a CPL/CCW training/tactics class. They said something like, "We need to get rid of this gun. My wife just can't shoot it very well".
I say, if you are serious, I'd like to buy it. So, the next day, they show up with the gun, two newly bought holsters (for her), two speedloaders, a speed strip and 2 1/2 boxes of 38 spl ammo.
$400 OTD!:D:D
It is SWEET! Here it is with my 60-15 and some of the accessories.
I actually like the Uncle Mikes that came on the gun. The Galco Yaqui holster holds the grip surprisingly close to the body.

I too like those Uncle Mike's very much. That is what I used for years until not too long ago I acquired a M 60 that had Hogue Bantams on it. I quickly found that I like the Bantams more and have been slowly switching all my J's and K/L's to Bantams. I wish Hogue would make the Bantam for the Ns. ..................
