A coworker of mine is selling a model 61 escort, nickel with Pearl grips. It has only had approximately 75 rounds through it since new. It has the original box and bill of sale. It sat in his dads desk drawer for years when he ran a supermarket. What would be a fair price?

Around $300 (give or take $25 depending on if you really want it) oughta do it. They are sort of cute, ain't they?!

I passed on a nice blue one no gun rug had the box papers tools extra mag and 3 more mags for $225.

They are collectors items. NOT shooters. They were notoriously unreliable when new and were not produced very long.

Who remembers the days when S&W semi-autos were accused of being intended to drive folks back to revolvers.

If those are really pearl grips you are going to have to add an extra $100 for those. I like the little guns even though S&W based it on an early 1900's patent from Europe. Can't figure that one at all. You also didn't mention the original pouch that came with them. A deduct if that is missing. I have one with all the trimmings. Shoot CCI in it, and have never had a malfunction.

Not really pearl grips. The Escorts have plastic grips. The nickel guns have white plastic with some marbleing color in them to make them look like mother of pearl and the blue ones have brown with darker brown to make them look like some kind of wood.

+ what Geoff said.
