Model 610 No Dash 5" Barrel what is this worth?

It depends on overall condition, and if you have the original box and related accouterments. All original ANIB 5” 610’s can go for $2000+. The front sight on yours looks like it was changed out with an aftermarket fiber optic. Great looking factory combat grips. Those alone can go for $250+. If you just have the gun and nothing else, and in it’s present condition, I would say around $1250 to $1400, depending on how bad someone wants it. 610’s do have a cult-like following, and the 5” is highly desirable. If you do plan on selling it, get yourself up to 25 posts and list it here in the classifieds. You’ll get top dollar and know it’s going to a true S&W aficionado. Oh...and welcome to the forum. If you do decide to keep it, there’s a ton of great people on here that will help with anything S&W related.

I don't see an emblem on those stocks, I don't believe those are genuine S&W and they won't go anywhere near that money and they also lower price/value of the revolver. That front sight is also a real problem, and appears to maybe be missing the actual fiber optic pipe.
As pictured, this revolver isn't bringing the huge money we see early 610's bring. These are my opinions only.
Right you are...I missed that. They look just like factory combats with no medallion.
S&W did make "flat side" Combats without medallions. They were original on several Performance Center guns. Those are not aftermarket, and they are valuable to collectors missing their originals.

No argument there. If I had it and the OP would accept, I would lay out 12 bills for it.
Also learned something I didn’t know about later combats. But if it’s a no-dash, wouldn’t they have come from a later 610-1?

My 5 inch no-dash with the original combat grips sold for $1500 on GunBroker last year. I had the manual, original half moon clips, some full moon clips, a tool to remove cases from the moon clips but no box.
Unfortunately when the gun got to the new owner's FFL it showed up on a list of stolen guns. Apparently someone made a typo filling out a police report 10 years ago. I was the original owner so the BATF was able to trace the gun back to when I bought it 25+ years ago and 9 months later I was able to get everything straightened out and retrieve the gun but everything else was lost in the process.
I plan to sell the gun and the police department checked three times to make sure it is no longer on the stolen gun list. But given the hassle, lost time and expense of dealing with all that across state lines I am going to sell the gun locally this time just in case someone's database has not been updated. Since that limits the market and the accessories are gone I expect to get about $1200-1400 this time.

Well that's a little snotball nightmare. This ought to be a fine example of how problematic these little "LISTS" can be when someone fat-fingers an entry.
In your case, it was a particular revolver and it's serial number. When the "LIST" in question is a person and not an object, you see how quickly this gets ridiculous.

I wanted to reboot this hijack of an original op’s thread so more folks could read about Dave Lively’s 610 horror story.
Can you imagine what would have happened had he not been the original owner? Instead of only losing a couple of hundred dollars and a bunch of time, he could have been out $1,500 and been in legal hot water! All because some careless typist transposed a number!
Imagine the effort it took to get the already overworked BATF to track down a 25 year old firearm purchase on his say-so!
This is a good argument for keeping records on past firearms transactions long term. I’m not sure I could find a 25 year old receipt! Even remember the name of the store or person if they happened to still be around!

While everyone should do as they see fit and I have no idea what restrictions Ohio imposes upon it's Citizens in regards to record keeping, I disagree with the concept of Citizen over-regulation this task.
I can give you another similar personal experience.
Back in the mid 1980s I purchased a Colt Python from a Security Guard (supervisor) that I knew. It had been her Ex-husbands gun.
Private sales between residents of the same State are not now, nor have they ever been, regulated by Federal law and no bill of sale or "Universal Background Check" on the buyer occurs. This is what Lefty Liberals call "The Gun Show Loophole"
I reside in the State of Florida. Florida does not impose restrictions upon it's Citizens beyond the requirements of Federal Law in a transaction like this
About 12+ years after making that purchase my car was broken into and my range bag snatched after a session of shooting. When I made the Police report, I did not even know the Python's serial number, but I knew the other firearm's serial
About 3 weeks later the Perpetrator was apprehended trying to Pawn the stolen revolvers.
When the arresting Department ran the serial numbers it turned out the Python was reported stolen about two decades prior
The Python was returned to the original owner, I was questioned about how/where I acquired the revolver and that was all the Police interest there was. Florida's State's Attorney never even commented one way or the other if they wanted to prosecute me at all. Once the Perpetrator that stole it from me was convicted. Part of his sentence was to make restitution to me for my financial loss of the Python
There was no Legal Hot Water for me at all. Even though I had no printed/signed PROOF that I was the Python's legal owner.
Yes, I realize that probably would have gone TOTALLY different had I resided in NY City, Chicago or Los Angles.
Which is one of the main reasons I do not reside in NY City, Chicago or Los Angles. It is also one of the reasons I am an active participant in each election cycle so that Florida never elects Politicians that go in that direction
I an Firmly Against private Citizens imposing restrictions on transfers that the Federal Government does not even bother to require. That is the slippery slope toward more Government Regulated Gun Control
If I am buying (or selling) a firearm locally and the other party demands a Bill of Sale or wants to keep photo copies of my ID, I walk away from the deal. I have no desire for Government at any level to have more access to what I own beyond records that the Law requires
I am very concerned about Pro 2nd Amendment folks that insist on a "Bill of Sale" where none is required. Often they will open with the line that "it is Better to be Safe than Sorry" or "You Never Know what is going to happen"
I am also disturbed by various Firearms Trade/Sale boards that tell people to always Insist on a Bill of Same and even offer pre-formatted, downloadable templates for folks to use. I think this policy leads many users to believe that a Bill of Sale is a legally required document
Once the Loony Left believes that Pro 2nd Amendment folks WANT there to be record keeping on currently unregulated private transactions we move closer to the Draconian concept of what they call "Universal Background Checks"
I refuse to bow down to what the Left wants on the basis that one day it might make things easier on me should a very unlikely chain of events occur
