Hi

I'm interested in the Smith & Wesson Model 627 Performance Center V-COMP (similar to the one shown in the image)

It comes with a replacement for the V-comp - in case your are participating in competitions where it is not allowed. Do any of you have a photo of the gun with this replacement? I'm curious about how the gun looks with it.

I have never removed any of my V-Comps from their firearms

The false muzzle is easily changed by the removal of a single bolt through the bottom of the V-Comp and into the barrels under lug.

The Comp or cap , can loosen itself through use.
I leave it off completely on my 929.
And make sure I have my Allen wrench to check it on my V-comp when I shoot it.

If you're shooting and have the bullets ricochet off the cap when it unscrewed, you never forget.

You can leave the caps off too. Just sayin
