Model 639

Picked up a nice Model 639 at last weekend's Tampa gun show. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled with was the adjustable rear sight and the square trigger guard. Cleaned and lubed it, replaced the recoil spring and took it to the range today. Shot 100 rounds flawlessly with very good accuracy.

Does anyone know of a source for a few stainless Model 639 mags?

Dang, I was going to go to that show too...and I've been looking for a nice 639 or 39.

I'd say try Numrich, Brownells, Midway, Fleabay, GB, etc. for mags. I don't know how scarce 639 stainless mags are.

Good find. FWIW, the 3rd gen full sized single stack mags will fit, come in nickel, and hold 9 rds. The down side is that they are about 1/4" longer and hang down a bit. Up to you.

I have a 439 2 tone, and it looks OK with the longer mag.

You can use the more recent production 3906 magazines, which are stainless, but will stick out a little beyond the bottom of the grips. Genuine Model 639 mags occasionally show up on eBay.
